  3-1                          COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO. 1
  3-2           Amend Senate Bill 1295 as follows:
  3-3           (1)  On page 1, line 23, after "made." strike the following
  3-4     new language:
  3-5           "However, if a taxpayer receiving a refund under this section
  3-6     shows that is was necessary to borrow the protested amount of taxes
  3-7     paid, the taxpayer is entitled to recover the amount of actual
  3-8     interest paid, but no more than nine percent, calculated from the
  3-9     delinquency date for the taxes until the date the refund is made."
