                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to the numbers assigned to certain state senate districts.
    1-3        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-4        SECTION 1.  The following districts established for the
    1-5  Senate of the State of Texas by Chapter 1, Acts of the 72nd
    1-6  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, 1992, are renumbered as follows:
    1-7              (1)  District 9 is renumbered as District 22;
    1-8              (2)  District 19 is renumbered as District 24;
    1-9              (3)  District 22 is renumbered as District 9;
   1-10              (4)  District 24 is renumbered as District 25;
   1-11              (5)  District 25 is renumbered as District 26; and
   1-12              (6)  District 26 is renumbered as District 19.
   1-13        SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-14  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-15  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-16  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-17  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
   1-18  and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
   1-19  passage, and it is so enacted.
