  25-1                         COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO. 1
  25-2          Amend S.B. 1373 as follows:
  25-3          (1)  On page 3, line 15, strike "cogeneration"
  25-4          (2)  On page 13, line 5 after "purposes;" add:
  25-5          "provided, that during each interval of three calendar years
  25-6    following the commencement of collection of such tax, the Board
  25-7    shall, consistent with the district's authorized powers and
  25-8    purposes, and in its sound discretion, endeavor to apply an annual
  25-9    average of not less than 10% of the net proceeds of such tax
 25-10    collections, after deduction of the general and administrative
 25-11    costs and expenses of the district and the costs and expenses of
 25-12    levying, assessing and collecting such taxes, toward mitigation of
 25-13    the impact of development within the district on adjacent areas,
 25-14    including without limitation, effects on public utilities and
 25-15    services, public transportation and traffic movement, and scenic
 25-16    and aesthetic beauty."
