   1-19                     SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
   1-20        WHEREAS, No other character has filled the pages of Texas
   1-21  history with the strength of character and fervent zeal to build a
   1-22  mighty country as Sam Houston; statesman, general, leader, patriot,
   1-23  president, senator, representative, and governor, Sam Houston
   1-24  remains a true Texas hero whose image has never dimmed in the eyes
   1-25  of the people who share his love for their state; now, therefore,
   1-26  be it
   1-27        RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, the House of
   1-28  Representatives concurring, That the Senate and House meet in Joint
   1-29  Session in the Hall of the House of Representatives on Tuesday,
   1-30  February 23, 1993, at an hour convenient to both houses; and, be it
   1-31  further
   1-32        RESOLVED, That the Legislature pay tribute to Sam Houston for
   1-33  leading Texas in its infant years to its greatness as the Lone Star
   1-34  State on the occasion of the bicentennial celebration of his
   1-35  birthday.
