                             SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
    1-1        WHEREAS, Article III, Section 17, of the Texas Constitution
    1-2  provides that neither house of the legislature may adjourn for more
    1-3  than three days without the consent of the other house; now,
    1-4  therefore, be it
    1-5        RESOLVED by the 73rd Legislature of the State of Texas, That
    1-6  each house grant the other permission to adjourn for more than
    1-7  three days during the period beginning on Wednesday, April 7, 1993,
    1-8  and ending on Tuesday, April 13, 1993; and, be it further
    1-9        RESOLVED, That the legislature hereby request the governor to
   1-10  encourage all state agencies to allow their employees a paid day
   1-11  off on either April 9 or April 12, 1993, provided that each state
   1-12  agency has enough employees on duty to conduct the public business
   1-13  of the agency on each of those days.
