1-22 SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION
1-23 proposing a constitutional amendment providing for the issuance of
1-24 general obligation bonds for the support of the Texas agricultural
1-25 fund.
1-26 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-27 SECTION 1. Article III, Section 49-i(b), of the Texas
1-28 Constitution is amended to read as follows:
1-29 (b) The principal amount of bonds authorized to be issued
1-30 and to be sold <outstanding at one time> may not exceed $100 <$25>
1-31 million for the Texas agricultural fund and $5 million for the
1-32 rural microenterprise development fund.
1-33 SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be
1-34 submitted to the voters at an election to be held on November 2,
1-35 1993. The ballot shall be printed to provide for voting for or
1-36 against the proposition: "The constitutional amendment authorizing
1-37 up to $100 million in general obligation bonds to finance the Texas
1-38 agricultural fund for providing financial assistance to develop,
1-39 increase, improve, or expand the production, processing, marketing,
1-40 or export of crops or products grown or produced primarily in this
1-41 state by agricultural businesses domiciled in the state."
