    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Sixty years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harmon of
    1-3  Robert Lee, Texas, placed much faith and trust in the future
    1-4  which have been amply rewarded for they celebrated their
    1-5  60th wedding anniversary on December 18, 1992; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Jessie Creech and Floyd Harmon were married on
    1-7  December 18, 1932, in the Green Mountain Community in
    1-8  Coke County; the world has changed greatly during their
    1-9  marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Harmon have remained steadfast
   1-10  in traditional family and moral values; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Through the years, Mr. and Mrs. Harmon have
   1-12  grown ever stronger in love and devotion as together they have
   1-13  experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living, and they
   1-14  have always shared the trust and honesty that are the cornerstones
   1-15  of a successful marriage; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Jessie and Floyd Harmon have been blessed with a
   1-17  wonderful family:  their children, Lawana Millican, Dorene Mashburn,
   1-18  Jeffie Roberts, and Jerry Floyd Harmon; and their 11 grandchildren
   1-19  and 11 great-grandchildren; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, In commemoration of this milestone in their lives,
   1-21  the distinguished couple was honored on December 20, 1992, with a
   1-22  family dinner hosted by their children in the Robert Lee Recreation
   1-23  Center; and
    2-1        WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Harmon
    2-2  is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
    2-3        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-4  73rd Legislature, hereby congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harmon
    2-5  on their 60th wedding anniversary with best wishes for many more
    2-6  years of continued happiness; and, be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-8  Mr. and Mrs. Harmon as a memento of this special day in their lives.
