No. 24 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, Birthdays are occasions to be joyously 1-3 celebrated, and so it is for Jack Prentice of Huntsville, as he 1-4 is the guest of honor on his special day, January 14, 1993; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Since this is his 92nd birthday, he has been 1-6 privileged to witness events many of us only read about in 1-7 history books; and 1-8 WHEREAS, The blessings of his long sojourn in this world 1-9 are evident as he recalls tales of years past; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Today, he takes pleasure in the companionship 1-11 of family and friends; his wife, Thelma; his children, 1-12 Dixon Prentice, Jerry Prentice, and Margaret Dyson; his three 1-13 grandchildren and his one great-grandchild are a source of much 1-14 pride and joy; and 1-15 WHEREAS, A beloved and respected member of his community, 1-16 he is noted for his exemplary courage and his enthusiasm for 1-17 living each day to the fullest; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Vitally interested in the welfare of others 1-19 and of his state, Jack Prentice is a distinguished and exemplary 1-20 gentleman; now, therefore, be it 1-21 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-22 73rd Legislature, hereby recognize Jack Prentice as a treasured 1-23 citizen of Huntsville and wish him many more years of health and 2-1 happiness; and, be it further 2-2 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to 2-3 Mr. Prentice as a token of esteem from the Texas Senate. 2-4 _____________________________________ 2-5 President of the Senate 2-6 I hereby certify that the 2-7 above Resolution was adopted by 2-8 the Senate on January 14, 1993. 2-9 _____________________________________ 2-10 Secretary of the Senate 2-11 _____________________________________ 2-12 Member, Texas Senate
