    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Fifty years ago, Mr. and Mrs. A. Isedor Knippa
    1-3  of Lincoln, Texas, placed much faith and trust in the future which
    1-4  have been amply rewarded for they recently celebrated their 50th
    1-5  wedding anniversary on November 8, 1992; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Leona and Isedor were married on November 8, 1942,
    1-7  at Christ Lutheran Church in Loebau; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Knippa have always shared the trust
    1-9  and honesty that are the cornerstones of a successful marriage; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, The world has changed greatly during their
   1-11  marriage, yet the beloved couple has remained steadfast in
   1-12  traditional family and moral values; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Through the years, Leona and Isedor Knippa have
   1-14  grown ever stronger in love and devotion as together they have
   1-15  experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Knippa have been blessed with a
   1-17  wonderful family:  their children, Jim and Billie Knippa, Wayne
   1-18  and Arlene Knippa, and Mark and Tricia Krugler; and their
   1-19  granddaughter, Julie; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, In commemoration of this milestone in their
   1-21  lives, the distinguished couple was honored on November 8, 1992,
   1-22  with a reception at the Giddings American Legion Hall hosted by
   1-23  their children; and
    2-1        WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Knippa
    2-2  is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
    2-3        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-4  73rd Legislature, hereby congratulate Mr. and Mrs. A. Isedor Knippa
    2-5  on their golden wedding anniversary with best wishes for many more
    2-6  years of continued happiness; and, be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-8  Mr. and Mrs. Knippa as a memento of this special day in their lives.
