    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, December 6, 1992, will be a day long remembered
    1-3  and cherished by Mr. and Mrs. Emmett McCaslin of Kerens, Texas,
    1-4  for on that day they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary;
    1-5  and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McCaslin were married on
    1-7  December 12, 1942, in Corsicana, Texas; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McCaslin have always shared the trust
    1-9  and honesty that are the cornerstones of a successful marriage;
   1-10  and
   1-11        WHEREAS, The world has changed greatly during their
   1-12  marriage, yet the beloved couple has remained steadfast in
   1-13  traditional family and moral values; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Through the years, Mr. and Mrs. McCaslin have
   1-15  grown ever stronger in love and devotion as together they have
   1-16  experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McCaslin have been blessed with a
   1-18  wonderful family:  their daughter and son-in-law, Donnie and
   1-19  Kent Weltmer; and their grandchildren, Jeanne and Benny Brown,
   1-20  Emmett and Karla Clemons, and Kent Weltmer, Jr., and their
   1-21  great-granddaughters, Hailey Williams and Chasidy Clemons; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, In commemoration of this milestone in their lives,
   1-23  the distinguished couple was honored on December 6, 1992, with a
    2-1  family party; and
    2-2        WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. McCaslin
    2-3  is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
    2-4        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas hereby
    2-5  congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Emmett McCaslin on their golden wedding
    2-6  anniversary with best wishes for many more years of continued
    2-7  happiness; and, be it further
    2-8        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-9  Mr. and Mrs. McCaslin as a memento of this special day in their
   2-10  lives.
