    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
    1-3  recognize Dr. Robert Harvey Bell for his 65 years of outstanding
    1-4  medical service in Texas; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Devoted to his patients and to his profession,
    1-6  Dr. Bell has dedicated his life to providing superior health care
    1-7  for the residents of Anderson, Harris, and Colorado counties; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Due to his wisdom, expertise, and concern for
    1-9  others, Dr. Bell has been a positive influence in the lives
   1-10  of innumerable Texas citizens over the last 65 years; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Dr. Bell began his exceptional career in 1926
   1-12  in Houston and then moved to Columbus where he built and managed
   1-13  the first hospital in Colorado County; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, After the war, Dr. Bell moved to Palestine where
   1-15  he has practiced family medicine for many years and is respected
   1-16  and beloved by his fellow Palestine residents; he is now retiring
   1-17  at the age of 91; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, The Palestine community and the State of Texas
   1-19  have greatly benefitted from the dedication and generous spirit
   1-20  of this talented physician; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  73rd Legislature, hereby extend appreciation to
   1-23  Dr. Robert Harvey Bell for his invaluable contributions to his
    2-1  community and state and extend best wishes to him for the
    2-2  retirement years ahead; and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-4  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
