    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great pleasure
    1-3  in congratulating the Bartlett High School football team for its
    1-4  splendid accomplishment in winning the Class A state championship
    1-5  for 1992; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, In a hard-fought contest in San Angelo, the
    1-7  Bartlett Bulldogs defeated Sudan 33 to 26 to capture their second
    1-8  Class A title in three years; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Much of the credit for the Bartlett High School
   1-10  Bulldogs' winning teams belongs to Coach Cron who has instilled in
   1-11  his young players a sense of fair play and respect for the highest
   1-12  ideals of American sportsmanship; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Exhibiting awesome talent and tenacity throughout
   1-14  the year, the team members and their coaches deserve to be proud
   1-15  of their efforts and superior performance; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, The Bartlett Bulldogs displayed exceptional athletic
   1-17  ability, team unity, and fighting spirit; they have brought honor
   1-18  to themselves, their school, and their community; now, therefore,
   1-19  be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  73rd Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to the Bartlett
   1-22  High School Bulldogs football team for capturing the Class A state
   1-23  championship, thereby adding to their school's winning tradition;
    2-1  and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
    2-3  members of the team as a memento of their 1992 season with all best
    2-4  wishes for future successes from the Texas Senate.
