No. 154 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, Fifty years ago, on June 20, 1942, 1-3 Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Hommer Graves placed great faith and trust 1-4 in the future and they have been amply rewarded as they recently 1-5 celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; and 1-6 WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the 1-7 years throughout their marriage yet Mr. and Mrs. Graves have 1-8 steadfastly embraced traditional family and moral values; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Over the years, Barbara and Lonnie have grown 1-10 stronger in their love and devotion as together they have 1-11 experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Graves have been blessed with a 1-13 wonderful family: their children, Judith Fedora-Griffin, 1-14 Victoria Anne Kiddy, Lonnie Hommer Graves, Jr., John Drury Graves, 1-15 and Mary Elizabeth Graves; and their 10 grandchildren and seven 1-16 great-grandchildren; and 1-17 WHEREAS, The love and respect they share are shining 1-18 examples to all who are fortunate enough to know them; now, 1-19 therefore, be it 1-20 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-21 73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to 1-22 Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Hommer Graves on their golden wedding 1-23 anniversary; and, be it further 2-1 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-2 this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in their 2-3 lives. 2-4 _____________________________________ 2-5 President of the Senate 2-6 I hereby certify that the 2-7 above Resolution was adopted by 2-8 the Senate on February 8, 1993. 2-9 _____________________________________ 2-10 Secretary of the Senate 2-11 _____________________________________ 2-12 Member, Texas Senate
