No. 156 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, For almost 20 years, the citizens of the 1-3 City of Groesbeck have been loyally and faithfully served by 1-4 former Director of Public Works Eugene Dick; and 1-5 WHEREAS, His diligence and ability in the performance of 1-6 his duties are legendary; and 1-7 WHEREAS, Mayor Jim Longbotham presided over a ceremony held 1-8 at the city's annual 1992 Christmas party where Mr. Dick was 1-9 presented with a plaque which lauded his many years of service; and 1-10 WHEREAS, The city council, city employees, and citizens of 1-11 Groesbeck owe a debt of gratitude to Mr. Dick for his outstanding 1-12 contributions to their community; and 1-13 WHEREAS, The entire town of Groesbeck has a deep appreciation 1-14 of Mr. Dick's generous gifts of time, talent, and love; and 1-15 WHEREAS, Noted for his honesty and integrity, Mr. Dick has 1-16 earned the respect and friendship of his former colleagues; now, 1-17 therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-19 73rd Legislature, hereby commend and applaud the devoted years of 1-20 service of Eugene Dick and wish him many happy retirement years; 1-21 and, be it further 1-22 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 1-23 Mr. Dick as an expression of gratitude from the Texas Senate. 2-1 _____________________________________ 2-2 President of the Senate 2-3 I hereby certify that the 2-4 above Resolution was adopted by 2-5 the Senate on February 8, 1993. 2-6 _____________________________________ 2-7 Secretary of the Senate 2-8 _____________________________________ 2-9 Member, Texas Senate
