No. 165 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great 1-3 pleasure in congratulating the Fort Worth Police Department on 1-4 the successful completion of a large drug raid conducted in the 1-5 city on January 28, 1993; and 1-6 WHEREAS, Due to diligent work on the part of a number of 1-7 officers, the Fort Worth Police Department scored a major victory 1-8 in the ongoing struggle to reduce the crime rate in the Fort Worth 1-9 metropolitan area; and 1-10 WHEREAS, These esteemed officers are among those crime 1-11 fighters who risk their lives every day to protect the homes, 1-12 neighborhoods, and communities of our citizens; and 1-13 WHEREAS, The officers involved in this drug raid were: 1-14 Lieutenant J. C. Williams, Sergeant D. W. Gill, Officer Paul Ware, 1-15 Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms agent 1-16 John Carpenter, Officer Kamphouse, Officer Heimburger, 1-17 Officer Henry, Officer Reynolds, Officer Smith, Officer Hurd, 1-18 Officer McElroy, Officer Reddick, Officer Solomon, Officer McGuire, 1-19 Officer Phillips, Officer Pruitt, Officer Johnson, and Probationary 1-20 Officer Young; all of these public servants have distinguished 1-21 themselves as dedicated law enforcement officers; and 1-22 WHEREAS, The concern over control of drugs manifested by the 1-23 Fort Worth Police Department is exemplary of its devotion to the 2-1 best interests of our state and country; and 2-2 WHEREAS, Drug prevention and control are unquestionably of 2-3 major importance to Texans today, and the Fort Worth Police 2-4 Department is to be congratulated for its dedication to its duty; 2-5 now, therefore, be it 2-6 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-7 73rd Legislature, hereby commend and applaud the officers and 2-8 personnel of the Fort Worth Police Department for their highly 2-9 successful execution of a raid on drug dealers; and, be it further 2-10 RESOLVED, That a copy or this Resolution be prepared for 2-11 them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. 2-12 _____________________________________ 2-13 President of the Senate 2-14 I hereby certify that the 2-15 above Resolution was adopted by 2-16 the Senate on February 8, 1993. 2-17 _____________________________________ 2-18 Secretary of the Senate 2-19 _____________________________________ 2-20 Member, Texas Senate
