    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure
    1-3  in recognizing Kathy Ungerer for her selection in November, 1992,
    1-4  as the Texas Elementary Teacher of the Year; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Ms. Ungerer has been a teacher with the Humble
    1-6  Independent School District for eight years and is currently teaching
    1-7  early childhood special education students at Humble Elementary
    1-8  School; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, An exceptionally gifted and dedicated teacher,
   1-10  Kathy Ungerer instills in her students high self-esteem and a sense
   1-11  of responsibility which she believes are the key ingredients for
   1-12  success in school and in adult life; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Innovative and resourceful, Ms. Ungerer is an
   1-14  enthusiastic educator with tremendous energy, warmth, sincerity, and
   1-15  determination; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Genuinely concerned for the individual student,
   1-17  she is a creative and skillful teacher who has a remarkable rapport
   1-18  with her students and with their parents; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, A diligent and hardworking educator, she has had
   1-20  a powerful impact on the lives of her students and their development;
   1-21  now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-23  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Kathy Ungerer for her superb
    2-1  contributions to the educational system of Texas and extend best
    2-2  wishes to her for many rewarding years ahead; and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-4  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
