    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
    1-3  recognize Allison T. Brown for his 32 years of loyal service with
    1-4  the United States Postal Service; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Allison Brown began his successful career with
    1-6  the postal service in October of 1960 as a substitute distribution
    1-7  clerk in Washington, D. C.; after a series of promotions, Mr. Brown
    1-8  was appointed Management and Operations Analyst-Criminal in the
    1-9  Eastern Region Headquarters; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, In 1983, Mr. Brown was appointed to the position of
   1-11  Inspector in Charge of the Tampa Division, and in November, 1985,
   1-12  he became the Inspector in Charge of the Houston Division; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Throughout the years of his career, Mr. Brown has
   1-14  consistently manifested exceptional proficiency in dealing with the
   1-15  unique challenges of his postal service positions; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Mr. Brown is highly talented and resourceful, and
   1-17  as an inspector, he has made many worthy contributions to the
   1-18  United States Postal Service System; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman who is noted for his
   1-20  honesty and his concern for his fellowman, Allison Brown is admired
   1-21  and respected by his colleagues, and his presence with the postal
   1-22  service will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Allison T. Brown for his many years
    2-2  of distinguished public work with the United States Postal Service
    2-3  and extend best wishes to him for the retirement years ahead; and,
    2-4  be it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-6  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
