By: Turner S.R. No. 199 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Clarence A. Jaecks 1-5 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins with the 1-6 family and many friends of Clarence A. Jaecks in mourning his death 1-7 on February 6, 1993; and 1-8 WHEREAS, A true patriot, Mr. Jaecks joined the United States 1-9 Army Air Corps and served his country with great honor and valor in 1-10 the Pacific Theater during World War II; and 1-11 WHEREAS, This distinguished farmer and rancher also had a 1-12 notable career with the Texas School for the Blind; and 1-13 WHEREAS, This respected gentleman's varied and notable 1-14 accomplishments contributed to the development and progress of his 1-15 community; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Unquestionably a man of high principles, he will be 1-17 missed by all who knew him; and 1-18 WHEREAS, His wise counsel and good judgment are remembered 1-19 with gratitude by all whose lives he touched; now, therefore, be it 1-20 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-21 73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the members 1-22 of his family: his sons, Garland and Dale; his sisters, 1-23 Elvera Boatright, Evelyn Hamlin, and Pearl Gebert; his foster son, 2-1 Johnny McKinney; and his granddaughters, Julie and Stacy Jaecks; 2-2 and, be it further 2-3 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the 2-4 members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the 2-5 Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so 2-6 in memory of Clarence A.
