No. 204 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, Fifty years ago, Mr. and Mrs. John Wernecke 1-3 placed much faith and trust in the future which have been 1-4 amply rewarded for they recently celebrated their 50th wedding 1-5 anniversary; and 1-6 WHEREAS, Since their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Wernecke have 1-7 exhibited the trust and honesty that are the cornerstones of a 1-8 successful marriage; and 1-9 WHEREAS, The world has changed greatly during the 1-10 intervening years, yet Mr. and Mrs. Wernecke have clung 1-11 steadfastly to traditional family and moral values; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Through the years, John and Doris Wernecke 1-13 have grown ever stronger in love and devotion as together they 1-14 have experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and 1-15 WHEREAS, The love and respect they share are shining 1-16 examples to all who are fortunate enough to know them; now, 1-17 therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-19 73rd Legislature, hereby join with the relatives and friends of 1-20 Mr. and Mrs. John Wernecke in extending them best wishes and 1-21 congratulations on their 50th wedding anniversary; and, be it 1-22 further 1-23 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-1 this distinguished couple as a memento of this grand occasion. 2-2 _____________________________________ 2-3 President of the Senate 2-4 I hereby certify that the 2-5 above Resolution was adopted by 2-6 the Senate on February 11, 1993. 2-7 _____________________________________ 2-8 Secretary of the Senate 2-9 _____________________________________ 2-10 Member, Texas Senate
