    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased and
    1-3  proud to honor Randy McLeod on the occasion of his appointment
    1-4  as senior warden of the new Beaumont state prison; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, A diligent and hardworking employee, Mr. McLeod
    1-6  has earned the admiration of his colleagues; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, An employee of the Texas Department of Criminal
    1-8  Justice for the past 18 years, Mr. McLeod was appointed assistant
    1-9  regional director for security in May, 1985, and was then promoted
   1-10  to senior warden of the Goree Unit in Huntsville in June of that
   1-11  year; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, In October, 1985, Mr. McLeod was moved to the
   1-13  position of senior warden at the Ellis II Unit; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Mr. McLeod has served as senior warden of the
   1-15  William P. Clements, Jr., Unit in Amarillo since January, 1990;
   1-16  and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Mr. McLeod's dedication to his duties and
   1-18  responsibilities is legendary; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, A vital and active member of his community,
   1-20  Mr. McLeod also serves his city as a trustee of the Highland
   1-21  Park Independent School District; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, The varied and notable achievements of Mr. McLeod
   1-23  have contributed immensely to the growth and progress of his city
    2-1  and state; now, therefore, be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-3  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Randy McLeod on his promotion
    2-4  with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice; and, be it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-6  him as an expression of highest regard from the Texas Senate.
