    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure
    1-3  in recognizing Reverend J. E. Dennis who has been selected as the
    1-4  1992 Man of the Year by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce;
    1-5  and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Well known as the pastor of Mount Rose Missionary
    1-7  Baptist Church where he has served for 46 years, Reverend Dennis
    1-8  has counseled many young people in the community to achieve their
    1-9  highest potential; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, A gifted leader and community volunteer,
   1-11  Reverend Dennis is a charter member and past president of
   1-12  the Washington County Lions Club, the past president of the
   1-13  Ministerial Alliance of Washington County, a member of the
   1-14  Faith Mission board of directors, and president of the Brenham
   1-15  Cemetery Association; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Exceptionally dedicated and resourceful,
   1-17  Reverend Dennis is a hardworking individual whose concern for
   1-18  others is legendary; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, A wise and exemplary gentleman, a respected
   1-20  humanitarian, and a man of many talents, Reverend Dennis has made
   1-21  countless contributions to his community and to the State of Texas;
   1-22  now, therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  73rd Legislature, hereby express appreciation to
    2-2  Reverend J. E. Dennis for his numerous achievements and
    2-3  for the time and energy he has graciously devoted to people
    2-4  of all ages; and, be it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-6  him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
