    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Fifty years ago, on December 26, 1942, in Groesbeck,
    1-3  Texas, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Cox placed great faith and trust in the
    1-4  future and they have been amply rewarded as they recently celebrated
    1-5  their 50th wedding anniversary; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years
    1-7  throughout their marriage yet Scooter and Geneva Cox have
    1-8  steadfastly embraced traditional family and moral values; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Over the years, the beloved couple has grown
   1-10  stronger in their friendship and devotion as together they have
   1-11  experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Cox have been blessed with a wonderful
   1-13  family; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Cox shared their happiness with their
   1-15  family and friends at a surprise reception hosted by their children
   1-16  on December 19, 1992, at the Groesbeck Civic Center; now, therefore,
   1-17  be it
   1-18        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-19  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
   1-20  Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Cox on their golden wedding anniversary; and,
   1-21  be it further
   1-22        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for this
   1-23  distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in their lives.
