1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION
1-2 WHEREAS, Fifty years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Brown of
1-3 Palestine, Texas, placed much faith and trust in the future which
1-4 have been amply rewarded for they recently celebrated their
1-5 50th wedding anniversary; and
1-6 WHEREAS, Helen Marie Corbitt and Henry C. Brown were married
1-7 on January 18, 1943; and
1-8 WHEREAS, The world has changed greatly during the intervening
1-9 years, yet the beloved couple has clung steadfastly to traditional
1-10 family and moral values; and
1-11 WHEREAS, Through the years, Mr. and Mrs. Brown have grown
1-12 ever stronger in love and devotion as together they have
1-13 experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
1-14 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Brown have been blessed with a
1-15 wonderful family: their son and daughter-in-law, Henry and
1-16 Cheryl Brown; and their three grandchildren; and
1-17 WHEREAS, The love and respect they share are shining
1-18 examples to all who are fortunate enough to know them; now,
1-19 therefore, be it
1-20 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-21 73rd Legislature, hereby join with the relatives and friends of
1-22 Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Brown in extending them best wishes and
1-23 congratulations on their golden wedding anniversary; and,
2-1 be it further
2-2 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for this
2-3 distinguished couple as a memento of this grand occasion.
