    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in
    1-3  recognizing the members of the Fasci family on the grand
    1-4  occasion of their family reunion held on January 30, 1993; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, The reunion took place in Laredo, Texas, where
    1-6  family members gathered to share in their memories and to honor
    1-7  their heritage; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, The family members who attended are the descendants
    1-9  of Antonio Fasci and Anita Rembadi from Venice, Italy, and
   1-10  Clemente Bergara and Antonio Urteaga from Palofax, Texas; they are
   1-11  the children of Enrique "Henry" Jesus Fasci Bergara and
   1-12  Orfelinda Guajardo Barrientos who married on December 5, 1948; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Orfelinda Barrientos was the daughter of
   1-14  Santiago Guajardo and Isaura Barrientos and the granddaughter
   1-15  of Candelario Guajardo and Gregoria Perales from Coahuila, Mexico,
   1-16  and Antonio Barrientos and Maria de Los Angeles Perez from
   1-17  Nuevo Leon, Mexico; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, At the reunion, special tribute was paid to the
   1-19  memory of Henry Fasci and Orfelinda Barrientos by their children,
   1-20  Enrique Gerardo II, Cynthia Raquel, Antonio Santiago,
   1-21  Gilberto Xavier, David Jesus, Mario Cesar, Teresa Guadalupe, and
   1-22  Dora Alicia; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, The Fasci family members are successful men and
    2-1  women who have contributed greatly to their communities through
    2-2  their leadership, professionalism, and concern for others; and
    2-3        WHEREAS, Strong believers in traditional values, they are
    2-4  productive members of their societies and exemplary and hardworking
    2-5  citizens; and
    2-6        WHEREAS, The 1993 reunion is a manifestation of their belief
    2-7  in family unity, loyalty, and pride in one's heritage; now,
    2-8  therefore, be it
    2-9        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   2-10  73rd Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to the members of
   2-11  the Fasci family on their joyous reunion and extend best wishes for
   2-12  many more in the future; and, be it further
   2-13        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for them
   2-14  as a memento of this special occasion.
