By: Lucio S.R. No. 227 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, Fifty years ago, on January 24, 1943, in the 1-3 Old Stone Church in Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Lou J. Hiller 1-4 of Brownsville placed great faith and trust in the future and 1-5 they have been amply rewarded as they recently celebrated their 1-6 50th wedding anniversary; and 1-7 WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably through the 1-8 years yet Mr. and Mrs. Hiller have steadfastly embraced traditional 1-9 family and moral values; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Throughout their marriage, Hester and Lou Hiller 1-11 have grown ever stronger in their friendship and devotion as 1-12 together they have experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday 1-13 living; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hiller have been blessed with a 1-15 wonderful family: their children, Greg, Beverly, and Louisa; and 1-16 their six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Natives of Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Hiller moved to 1-18 Brownsville, Texas, in 1978 and have spent their retirement years 1-19 traveling and golfing throughout the United States and Mexico; and 1-20 WHEREAS, The love and respect they share are a shining 1-21 example to all those fortunate enough to know them; now, therefore, 1-22 be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-1 73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to 2-2 Mr. and Mrs. Lou J.
