    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Birthdays are occasions to be joyously celebrated,
    1-3  and so it was for Lieutenant David Charles Sandlin of Austin on
    1-4  February 6, 1993, when he was the guest of honor on his special
    1-5  day; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The blessings bestowed on him through the years are
    1-7  evident as he relives special moments in his life; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, An active and vital member of his community,
    1-9  Lieutenant Sandlin has earned respect and friendship from all who
   1-10  know him; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, He has been a prominent member of the Department of
   1-12  Public Safety since December 10, 1979, and is an Assistant Commander
   1-13  of the Capitol District; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Lieutenant Sandlin has been
   1-15  strengthened by the love and support of his gracious wife, Lorna Jean,
   1-16  and his lovely daughters, Amy Michelle and Kristi Leah; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Among his favorite hobbies are hunting and collecting
   1-18  police badges; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is pleased to join with the family and
   1-20  friends of this beloved gentleman in commemorating this special event;
   1-21  now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 73rd Legislature,
   1-23  hereby declare Lieutenant David Charles Sandlin a treasured citizen
    2-1  of his town and state, wishing him many more years of health and
    2-2  happiness; and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for this
    2-4  distinguished gentleman as an expression of the admiration and esteem
    2-5  of the Texas Senate.
