    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                           Dewitt Roy Studer
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins with the
    1-6  citizens of Fort Worth in mourning the loss of Dewitt Roy Studer
    1-7  who died December 27, 1992, at the age of 86; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born January 25, 1906, in Cornersville, Texas,
    1-9  to Charles Frederick and Sally Brown Studer, Dewitt Studer was a
   1-10  farmer in the Hopkins County area during his early years and served
   1-11  on a local school board before moving to Fort Worth in 1949; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, From 1954 until his retirement in 1971, Mr. Studer
   1-13  was dedicated to his work as a machinist at LTV Aerospace
   1-14  Corporation; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Respected by his colleagues for his many
   1-16  accomplishments, Dewitt Studer was an exemplary gentleman who
   1-17  formed many deep and lasting friendships in his community; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 848
   1-19  and of Precious Faith Temple in Fort Worth; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, forthrightness, and
   1-21  generosity, he gave unselfishly of his time to others; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, A wise and courageous individual with a warm
   1-23  sense of humor, Dewitt Studer will not be forgotten by those who
    2-1  knew him; and
    2-2        WHEREAS, Dewitt Studer was a devoted husband, father, and
    2-3  grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured
    2-4  forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
    2-5        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-6  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
    2-7  bereaved family of Dewitt Roy Studer:  his wife, Ida Nance Studer;
    2-8  his daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy Nell and Paul Hughes; his
    2-9  grandchildren, Billy Randell Pewitt, Susan Haywood, Valerie Watson,
   2-10  and Teresa Pewitt; and his great-grandchildren, Kelly Summer Smith,
   2-11  William Houston Pewitt, and John Augustus Pewitt; and, be it further
   2-12        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
   2-13  members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from
   2-14  the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do
   2-15  so in memory of Dewitt Roy Studer.
