    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas proudly recognizes
    1-3  B. J. Wolf of Travis High School in Austin for his 36 years of
    1-4  loyal service as an athletic coach; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Mr. Wolf began his outstanding coaching career after
    1-6  serving in the United States Army in Korea; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, While Coach Wolf served as basketball coach with the
    1-8  Bastrop Independent School District, his teams won four district
    1-9  championships and participated in the regional tournament twice; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, A man of many talents, he also coached football and
   1-11  baseball; today, Senator Gonzalo Barrientos has fond memories of
   1-12  playing on a Bastrop Little League baseball team under the tutelage
   1-13  of Coach Wolf; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, In 1967, Mr. Wolf began coaching at Travis High
   1-15  School in Austin, and under his superior leadership, his basketball
   1-16  teams have won three district championships and have been in the
   1-17  district playoffs for six years; in 1989, his team finished second
   1-18  in the state in 4A basketball; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, In his 36 years of coaching, Coach Wolf has had over
   1-20  530 victories, and his teams' many triumphs have been a tribute to
   1-21  his commitment and his expertise; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, A distinguished and exemplary gentleman, Coach Wolf
   1-23  has found success through his talent, perseverance, and hard work,
    2-1  and his many accomplishments are inspirational to us all; and
    2-2        WHEREAS, Throughout his career he has had the love and
    2-3  support of his wife, Norma, and his children, Missy and Mark; now,
    2-4  therefore, be it
    2-5        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-6  73rd Legislature, hereby commend B. J. Wolf on his superb career
    2-7  and extend best wishes to him for the retirement years ahead; and,
    2-8  be it further
    2-9        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him
   2-10  as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
