    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great
    1-3  pleasure in commending the Fuchs family, current owners of
    1-4  Fuchs Farm in Lott, Texas; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, On Friday, January 15, 1993, the Texas Department
    1-6  of Agriculture honored the Fuchs family and Fuchs Farm, which
    1-7  was founded in 1886 by Christoph Fuchs, Sr., at the Texas Family
    1-8  Land Heritage ceremony; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, The ceremony was a tribute to those Texans whose
   1-10  farms and ranches have remained in their families for the last
   1-11  100 years; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Respected leaders in the community, members
   1-13  of the Fuchs family have made significant contributions to
   1-14  agriculture in the State of Texas by practicing and promoting
   1-15  the most advanced methods of soil and water conservation; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Distinguished and hardworking, they have set
   1-17  an outstanding example for other Texans to follow and have
   1-18  played a major role in the betterment of the Lott community
   1-19  and Falls County; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, The members of the family have received
   1-21  well-deserved acclaim for their continued efforts to preserve
   1-22  the state's natural resources and to protect the environment and
   1-23  the beauty of the land; now, therefore, be it
    2-1        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-2  73rd Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to the members
    2-3  of the Fuchs family for their notable recognition by the Texas
    2-4  Department of Agriculture; and, be it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-6  Mrs. Werner Fuchs, owner of Fuchs Farm, as an expression of the
    2-7  high regard of the Texas Senate.
