    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great
    1-3  pleasure in commending the Grace family, current owners of
    1-4  Grace Ranch in Franklin, Texas; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, On Friday, January 15, 1993, the Texas Department
    1-6  of Agriculture honored the Grace family and Grace Ranch, which was
    1-7  founded in 1891 by Noel Hamilton Grace, at the Texas Family Land
    1-8  Heritage ceremony; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, The ceremony was a tribute to those Texans whose
   1-10  farms and ranches have remained in their families for the last
   1-11  100 years; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Respected leaders in the community, members of the
   1-13  Grace family have made significant contributions to agriculture in
   1-14  the State of Texas by practicing and promoting the most advanced
   1-15  methods of soil and water conservation; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Distinguished and hardworking, they have set an
   1-17  outstanding example for other Texans to follow and have played
   1-18  a major role in the betterment of the Franklin community and
   1-19  Robertson County; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, The members of the family have received
   1-21  well-deserved acclaim for their continued efforts to preserve
   1-22  the state's natural resources and to protect the environment
   1-23  and the beauty of the land; now, therefore, be it
    2-1        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-2  73rd Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to the members
    2-3  of the Grace family for their notable recognition by the
    2-4  Texas Department of Agriculture; and, be it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-6  William Clarence Grace, owner of Grace Ranch, as an expression
    2-7  of the high regard of the Texas Senate.
