    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in
    1-3  recognizing Bonnie Fultz Armstrong who has been selected for the
    1-4  1993 Citizen of the Year Award by the Grimes County Chamber of
    1-5  Commerce; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Bonnie Armstrong is well known for her outstanding
    1-7  work in the Navasota community; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, A dedicated and active volunteer, she serves as
    1-9  chairman of Nostalgia Days and is an officer for the Navasota
   1-10  Theatre Alliance; she formerly served on the Navasota City Council
   1-11  and the chamber's board of directors; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, A highly respected leader who generously devotes
   1-13  time and energy to civic affairs, she has been active with the
   1-14  Economic Development Committee, the Navasota Park Board, the
   1-15  Navasota Lioness Club, the American Cancer Society, and the American
   1-16  Heart Association; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, A talented writer, Ms. Armstrong assisted with
   1-18  the publication of a Grimes County history book, and helped write
   1-19  the first Living History home tour script; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Bonnie Armstrong's concern for others is legendary,
   1-21  and she has played a major role in the betterment of the Grimes
   1-22  County community; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, An exemplary lady, Bonnie Armstrong is a source
    2-1  of strength to many and her worthy accomplishments reflect her
    2-2  dedication and her commitment to her fellowman; now, therefore, be
    2-3  it
    2-4        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-5  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Bonnie Armstrong on her exceptional
    2-6  achievements and extend congratulations to her on her selection as
    2-7  Citizen of the Year; and, be it further
    2-8        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-9  her as a token of esteem from the Texas Senate.
