    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Fifty years ago, on January 26, 1943,
    1-3  Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Martin placed great faith and trust in
    1-4  the future and they have been amply rewarded as they recently
    1-5  celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years
    1-7  throughout their marriage yet Mr. and Mrs. Martin have steadfastly
    1-8  embraced traditional family and moral values; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Over the years, Mr. and Mrs. Martin have grown
   1-10  stronger in their love and devotion as together they have
   1-11  experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Martin have been blessed with
   1-13  wonderful children, Marlin Martin, Wanda Vickery, Jimmy Martin,
   1-14  and Frances Martin; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Martin shared their happiness with
   1-16  their family and friends at a luncheon hosted by their children
   1-17  on January 23, 1993; now, therefore, be it
   1-18        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-19  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
   1-20  Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Martin on their 50th wedding anniversary;
   1-21  and, be it further
   1-22        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   1-23  this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
    2-1  their lives.
