No. 299 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, Roy Holliday is well known to the people of 1-3 Georgetown for his outstanding public service; and 1-4 WHEREAS, The esteemed gentleman was recently honored 1-5 by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce when his name was added 1-6 to the chamber's Honor Roll in recognition of his exceptional 1-7 accomplishments; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Mr. Holliday has made many valuable contributions 1-9 to the community through his work with Sertoma; and 1-10 WHEREAS, He has freely given of his time and expertise to 1-11 the marvelous fourth of July celebration in San Gabriel Park; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Sensitive to the needs of others, the compassionate 1-13 individual has been a valued supporter of the crisis center and 1-14 the county's center for battered women; and 1-15 WHEREAS, Mr. Holliday has earned the respect and gratitude 1-16 of the citizens of Georgetown, and he is truly deserving of the 1-17 acknowledgement accorded him; now, therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-19 73rd Legislature, hereby commend Roy Holliday for his exceptional 1-20 community spirit and express its appreciation to him on behalf of 1-21 the citizens of Texas; and, be it further 1-22 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 1-23 Mr. Holliday as a token of the esteem of the Texas Senate. 2-1 _____________________________________ 2-2 President of the Senate 2-3 I hereby certify that the 2-4 above Resolution was adopted by 2-5 the Senate on February 22, 1993. 2-6 _____________________________________ 2-7 Secretary of the Senate 2-8 _____________________________________ 2-9 Member, Texas Senate
