    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
    1-3  and proud to honor Robert Clarence Metzger on the auspicious
    1-4  occasion of his 56th birthday; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Mr. Metzger is a noteworthy petroleum industry
    1-6  analyst and manager of petroleum investment properties; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, Admired and respected for his outstanding
    1-8  leadership and integrity, Mr. Metzger has been a vigorous
    1-9  proponent of tourism in the Permian Basin; he has brought his
   1-10  New York office staff to vacation in Big Bend Ranch State Natural
   1-11  Area and Monahan Sandhills State Park and to appreciate such rare
   1-12  and diverse fauna as rattlesnakes and horned toads; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Robert Metzger and the three members of his
   1-14  Houston headquarters have provided countless opportunities for
   1-15  oil producers, lawyers, accountants, engineers, and geologists
   1-16  in all the largest cities of the State of Texas; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, A constant supporter of the fine arts,
   1-18  Mr. Metzger has been a longtime sponsor of the Summer Mummers
   1-19  from Midland, Texas; Texas is truly fortunate to count him among
   1-20  her friends; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  73rd Legislature, hereby declare Robert Clarence Metzger an
   1-23  Honorary Texan with all attendant rights and privileges thereof;
    2-1  and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-3  Mr. Metzger as an expression of great esteem from the Texas Senate.
