1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION
1-2 WHEREAS, Birthdays are occasions to be joyously celebrated,
1-3 and so it was for Mr. Lynn Hiller of Waco, Texas, recently, when he
1-4 was the guest of honor on his special day; and
1-5 WHEREAS, This being his 90th birthday, he has been privileged
1-6 to witness events most of us only read about in history books; and
1-7 WHEREAS, The blessings of his long sojourn in this world
1-8 are evident as he recalls tales of years past; Mr. Hiller has
1-9 earned respect and friendship from all who know him; and
1-10 WHEREAS, Still an active and vital member of his community,
1-11 he is noted for his exemplary enthusiasm for living each day to
1-12 the fullest; and
1-13 WHEREAS, Friends of this beloved individual gathered at
1-14 the Elite Cafe to honor him in a manner best befitting the
1-15 event; now, therefore, be it
1-16 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-17 73rd Legislature, hereby declare Mr. Lynn Hiller a treasured
1-18 citizen of his town and state, wishing him many more years of
1-19 health and happiness; and, be it further
1-20 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to him as
1-21 a token of esteem from the Texas Senate.
