    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                             Cindy Dorsett
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins with
    1-6  the family and many friends of Cindy Dorsett in mourning her
    1-7  untimely death on February 13, 1993; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born in Austin, Miss Dorsett had lived in Rockdale
    1-9  for more than four years; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, A senior at Rockdale High School, Cindy was an
   1-11  illustrious student; she had won many awards and was a member of
   1-12  the Student Council, National Honor Society, Big Brother/Big Sisters,
   1-13  Future Homemakers of America, yearbook staff, golf team, junior
   1-14  prom committee, and Who's Who Among American High School Students;
   1-15  and
   1-16        WHEREAS, This outstanding student also won a United States
   1-17  National Mathematics award, a University Interscholastic League
   1-18  District Accounting award for second place, and several awards from
   1-19  Business Professionals of America; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Miss Dorsett was an active
   1-21  member of the First Baptist Church in Rockdale; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, During her lifetime she established a permanent
   1-23  place for herself in the hearts of those who lived and worked with
    2-1  her; and
    2-2        WHEREAS, Her genuine warmth and good humor will be missed
    2-3  by her many friends; now, therefore, be it
    2-4        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-5  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
    2-6  members of her family:  her mother and stepfather, Janice and
    2-7  Billy Zwernemann; her father, David Dorsett; her sisters,
    2-8  Connie Merka and Cathy Clark; and her grandparents, Eddie and
    2-9  Wanda Pharis; and, be it further
   2-10        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   2-11  the members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy
   2-12  from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day,
   2-13  it do so in memory of Cindy Dorsett.
