    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Naomi Pasemann was named Outstanding Citizen for
    1-3  1992 by the Taylor Rotary Club at the Taylor Chamber of Commerce
    1-4  annual banquet on January 28, 1993, and the Texas Senate is proud
    1-5  to honor the esteemed educator for her important accomplishments;
    1-6  and
    1-7        WHEREAS, Vitally interested in the welfare and progress of
    1-8  the children of the Taylor area, Mrs. Pasemann has devoted 30 years
    1-9  to educating and counseling the community's youth; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Her experience as a teacher and counselor have
   1-11  been invaluable in her work as guidance director and at-risk
   1-12  director in the Taylor schools; she works diligently to educate
   1-13  students about the dangers of drugs and has organized programs
   1-14  designed to encourage student participation, including Ducks
   1-15  against Drugs and Students United for Responsible Fun; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, She assists young people who are potential
   1-17  dropouts with their problems at school as well as at home and has
   1-18  developed scholarship programs to encourage qualified students
   1-19  to apply; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Throughout her notable career, Mrs. Pasemann has
   1-21  offered her love and support to benefit the countless students
   1-22  whose lives she has touched; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, The State of Texas has benefitted immeasurably
    2-1  from the wisdom and expertise of this exceptional public servant
    2-2  who has earned the admiration and support of the entire community;
    2-3  now, therefore, be it
    2-4        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-5  73rd Legislature, hereby express its deep gratitude to Naomi Pasemann
    2-6  for her significant contributions to the citizens of Taylor and the
    2-7  State of Texas and extend congratulations to her for receiving the
    2-8  1992 Outstanding Citizen Award; and, be it further
    2-9        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   2-10  this esteemed individual as a token of the high regard of the
   2-11  Texas Senate.
