    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, February 8, 1993, will be a day long remembered and
    1-3  cherished by Mr. and Mrs. Genaro G. Soto of San Angelo, Texas, for
    1-4  on that day they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Nellie Garcia and Genaro G. Soto were married on
    1-6  February 8, 1943, in San Angelo; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, The world has changed greatly during the intervening
    1-8  years, yet the beloved couple has clung steadfastly to traditional
    1-9  family and moral values; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Through the years, Mr. and Mrs. Soto have grown ever
   1-11  stronger in love and devotion as together they have experienced the
   1-12  joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Soto have been blessed with a
   1-14  wonderful family:  their children, Stella Estrada, Tom Soto,
   1-15  Gene Soto, Roberto Soto, and Sylvia Soto-Fulp; and their 10
   1-16  grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, The love and respect they share are a shining example
   1-18  to all who are fortunate enough to know them; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, In commemoration of this grand event, this
   1-20  distinguished couple was honored on February 13, 1993, with a mass
   1-21  at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church and a reception at the Fort Concho
   1-22  Commissary; now, therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  73rd Legislature, hereby congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Genaro G. Soto
    2-2  on their golden wedding anniversary with best wishes for many more
    2-3  years of continued happiness; and, be it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-5  Mr. and Mrs. Soto as a memento of this special day in their lives.
