No. 352 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to 1-3 recognize Mildred Reeves of Bangs, Texas, for her selection as 1-4 the 1992 top national beef educator at the National Convention 1-5 of American CattleWomen; and 1-6 WHEREAS, A community leader and beef industry expert, 1-7 Mildred Reeves was chosen for the award in recognition of her 1-8 visits to 54 classrooms in an effort to teach students about 1-9 the beef industry; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Mildred Reeves's educational programs include 1-11 explanations about the economy and its dependence on agriculture 1-12 and information about ranching, the trucking industry, feed 1-13 companies, veterinarians, supermarkets, and leather shops; and 1-14 WHEREAS, An exceptionally talented individual, Mildred Reeves 1-15 is second vice-president of Texas CattleWomen and education chairman 1-16 of the local Cen-Tex chapter; she generously offers her expertise to 1-17 schools and civic organizations seeking beef industry educational 1-18 programs; now, therefore, be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-20 73rd Legislature, hereby commend Mildred Reeves for her work on 1-21 behalf of the beef industry and extend congratulations to her on 1-22 her recent award; and, be it further 1-23 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her 2-1 as an expression of regard from the Texas Senate. 2-2 _____________________________________ 2-3 President of the Senate 2-4 I hereby certify that the 2-5 above Resolution was adopted by 2-6 the Senate on March 1, 1993. 2-7 _____________________________________ 2-8 Secretary of the Senate 2-9 _____________________________________ 2-10 Member, Texas Senate
