    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
    1-3  recognize Dr. Charles Holloway who was presented with the
    1-4  "Citizen of the Year" Award at the annual Groesbeck Chamber of
    1-5  Commerce banquet; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Dr. Holloway was named the award winner for his
    1-7  consistently outstanding work in the Groesbeck Independent School
    1-8  District; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Superintendent of the school district,
   1-10  Dr. Holloway is a native of the Clarksville area and has his
   1-11  undergraduate and graduate degrees from East Texas State University
   1-12  at Commerce; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Dr. Holloway served as principal and assistant
   1-14  superintendent at Keller, as well as superintendent at Cleburne,
   1-15  before he and his family moved to Groesbeck four years ago; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, This prominent citizen has given tirelessly of
   1-17  his talents to his community; an active member of the
   1-18  First Baptist Church, Chamber of Commerce, and Groesbeck Noon Lions
   1-19  Club, he is also active in several organizations related to his
   1-20  profession; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  73rd Legislature, hereby congratulate Dr. Charles Holloway on
   1-23  winning the Outstanding Citizen of the Year designation from
    2-1  the Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce; and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-3  Dr. Holloway as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
