1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION
1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
1-3 honor Aleece McBay who was designated "Woman of the Year" by the
1-4 Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce at their recent annual banquet; and
1-5 WHEREAS, East Texans are widely known for their civic
1-6 pride and social involvement; Aleece McBay is one of those
1-7 East Texans who gives selflessly to her community; and
1-8 WHEREAS, Touted for her countless hours of volunteer work,
1-9 Aleece McBay serves on the First Baptist Church's scholarship
1-10 committee and is a volunteer at the Storehouse, where she serves
1-11 as treasurer; and
1-12 WHEREAS, An outstanding community volunteer, Aleece McBay
1-13 is also the only woman member of the Groesbeck School Board, and
1-14 she donates many hours of her time to literacy efforts; and
1-15 WHEREAS, Groesbeck is indeed fortunate to count this woman
1-16 as one of its most dedicated leaders; now, therefore, be it
1-17 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-18 73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
1-19 Aleece McBay on her recent and well-deserved award; and, be it
1-20 further
1-21 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
1-22 her as an expression of admiration from the Texas Senate.
