    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
    1-3  commend Doctors Hospital Home Health Agency which is celebrating its
    1-4  grand opening on March 4, 1993; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Before the 1960s, home care was seen as a community
    1-6  service that focused on caring for the sick; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, Since that time, the growth of the home care industry
    1-8  has occurred because of demands from the public for quality home
    1-9  care and for containment of rising medical costs; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, One of the most prestigious organizations that has
   1-11  evolved to fill the gap between hospitalization and full recuperation
   1-12  with or without therapy, Doctors Hospital Home Health Agency has
   1-13  found an increasing demand for its services; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, A leader in the home health care industry, Doctors
   1-15  Hospital Home Health Agency strives for excellence and efficiency in
   1-16  all areas of its operation; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, This outstanding company conducts its business based
   1-18  on a strong belief in honesty and caring; it is a well-documented
   1-19  fact that patients get well faster if their posthospital
   1-20  convalescence takes place in their own home; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, With the advent of home health care, patients and
   1-22  their families can keep their total costs down; the average day spent
   1-23  in the hospital costs a client $350 a day and an average day spent
    2-1  with home-attended help costs $39; and
    2-2        WHEREAS, The Home Health Care Director at the new facility is
    2-3  Elsa Castillo; a registered nurse, she brings a wealth of experience
    2-4  to her position; and
    2-5        WHEREAS, The staff of Doctors Hospital Home Health Agency
    2-6  deserves to be proud of its successful efforts to serve the public;
    2-7  now, therefore, be it
    2-8        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-9  73rd Legislature, hereby recognize Doctors Hospital Home Health
   2-10  Agency on its grand opening and extend best wishes to the officers
   2-11  and staff for success in their new endeavor; and, be it further
   2-12        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
   2-13  agency as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
