    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                     A. H. "Buddy" Cadwallader III
    1-5        WHEREAS,  The family and many friends of
    1-6  A. H. "Buddy" Cadwallader III join with the citizens of
    1-7  San Antonio in mourning the death of this prominent citizen on
    1-8  February 3, 1993; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Mr. Cadwallader was a graduate of San Antonio
   1-10  Academy, Texas Military Institute, and Texas A&I University,
   1-11  where he earned a degree in banking and business; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, A vital member of his community, Mr. Cadwallader
   1-13  was the scion of a family of leaders in the financial industry of
   1-14  San Antonio; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, The owner of Cadwallader Insurance Agency, this
   1-16  respected gentleman was Chairman of the Board and owner of the
   1-17  Mortgage Investment Corporation and Chairman of the Board of
   1-18  Mercantile Bank and the First State Savings Association; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, A renowned civic and social leader,
   1-20  Mr. Cadwallader was a member of the Texas Cavaliers, Order
   1-21  of the Alamo, San Antonio German Club, Town Club, Alamo Kiwanis
   1-22  Club, and Conopus Club and a Life Member and Director of the
   1-23  San Antonio Livestock Exposition; and
    2-1        WHEREAS, Imbued with a deep love of the Texas coast, he was
    2-2  instrumental in the development of Key Allegro Isle in Rockport; and
    2-3        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Mr. Cadwallader had been a
    2-4  lifelong member of Christ Episcopal Church; and
    2-5        WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman's varied and notable
    2-6  achievements greatly contributed to the development and progress
    2-7  of San Antonio; and
    2-8        WHEREAS, Mr. Cadwallader's wise counsel and good judgment
    2-9  will be greatly missed and remembered with gratitude by those who
   2-10  lived and worked with him; now, therefore, be it
   2-11        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   2-12  73rd Legislature, hereby extend heartfelt condolences to
   2-13  the members of his family:  his wife, Millie Roach Cadwallader;
   2-14  his sons, A. H. "Randy" Cadwallader IV and Jeffrey Cadwallader;
   2-15  his daughter, Cyndy C. Ochse; his stepdaughter, Zane Neeley; his
   2-16  stepson, Mark Roach; and his seven grandchildren; and, be it further
   2-17        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   2-18  the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy
   2-19  from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day,
   2-20  it do so in memory of A. H. "Buddy" Cadwallader III.
