No. 429 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to join 1-3 with the Harris County Children's Protective Services Casework 1-4 Managers who are honoring the outstanding volunteers who work 1-5 with Family Outreach Central, Incorporated; and 1-6 WHEREAS, These dedicated citizens will be recognized for 1-7 their superb work in a ceremony on April 26, 1993; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Family Outreach Central, Incorporated, volunteers 1-9 are supervised by case managers employed by the Texas Department of 1-10 Human Services; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Volunteer workers are trained to provide a wide 1-12 variety of services to families at risk of abusing or neglecting 1-13 their children; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Some of the services available include peer 1-15 counseling, support groups for highly stressed adults and children, 1-16 parenting classes and child-caring programs, and help in the home; 1-17 and 1-18 WHEREAS, The operations of family outreach centers are made 1-19 possible by the unfailing devotion of volunteers, a remarkable group 1-20 of women and men who generously contribute their time to ensure the 1-21 success of the program; and 1-22 WHEREAS, Touted for their countless hours of volunteer work, 1-23 the men and women who donate their time to this worthy cause are 2-1 rewarded with a sense of accomplishment; now, therefore, be it 2-2 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-3 73rd Legislature, hereby commend and applaud the volunteers who give 2-4 so generously of their time to Family Outreach Central, Incorporated; 2-5 and, be it further 2-6 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-7 the center as an expression of goodwill and admiration from the 2-8 Texas Senate. 2-9 _____________________________________ 2-10 President of the Senate 2-11 I hereby certify that the 2-12 above Resolution was adopted by 2-13 the Senate on March 16, 1993. 2-14 _____________________________________ 2-15 Secretary of the Senate 2-16 _____________________________________ 2-17 Member, Texas Senate
