    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                         Harvey F. Boehnemann
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins with the
    1-6  residents of Burton in mourning the loss of Harvey F. Boehnemann who
    1-7  died on February 26, 1993; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born October 18, 1920, in Burton, Texas,
    1-9  Harvey Boehnemann was the son of Ida Koerth and Otto Boehnemann; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, This beloved citizen was educated in Burton School
   1-11  and graduated from Brenham High School and Blinn College; he had
   1-12  also attended The University of Texas; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Mr. Boehnemann married Annie Bathe on
   1-14  October 18, 1966, in Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine; they
   1-15  lived through many happy years together; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Mr. Boehnemann was a lifelong
   1-17  member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine where he had been
   1-18  baptized and confirmed; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, This illustrious civic leader was very prominent
   1-20  in his community; he was past president of the Burton Chamber of
   1-21  Commerce and a member of the Burton Volunteer Fire Department and
   1-22  the Lions Club; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, Highly esteemed by his fellow citizens, Mr. Boehnemann
    2-1  was a member of the Burton City Council and served as mayor pro tempore
    2-2  for 12 years; and
    2-3        WHEREAS, A longtime community leader, Mr. Boehnemann had been
    2-4  associated with Van Dyke Insurance and had recently retired; and
    2-5        WHEREAS, This respected gentleman's varied and notable
    2-6  accomplishments greatly contributed to the progress and development
    2-7  of his community; and
    2-8        WHEREAS, Mr. Boehnemann's wise and good judgment will be
    2-9  greatly missed and remembered with gratitude by those who lived and
   2-10  worked with him; now, therefore, be it
   2-11        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   2-12  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
   2-13  members of his family:  his wife, Annie Boehnemann; his mother,
   2-14  Ida Boehnemann; his brother, Alton Boehnemann; his sister,
   2-15  Birdie Borchardt; and his nieces and nephews; and, be it further
   2-16        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
   2-17  members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
   2-18  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
   2-19  memory of Harvey F. Boehnemann.
