    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Milam County Historical Museum will receive
    1-3  the Texas Historical Commission's Distinguished Service Award for
    1-4  outstanding achievement in historic preservation work during 1992;
    1-5  and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The award honors county historical commissions
    1-7  and nonprofit heritage organizations that complete a well-balanced
    1-8  program of work and are leaders in the historic preservation field
    1-9  in their cities and counties; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, The prestigious award will be presented on
   1-11  April 30, 1993, at the opening session of the Texas State Historical
   1-12  Commission's annual preservation conference in Austin; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, The Milam County Historical Museum fulfilled
   1-14  requirements in the organizational structure, archeology, and
   1-15  historic photographs categories; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, The Milam County Historical Museum is truly worthy
   1-17  of legislative recognition for its invaluable work in preserving
   1-18  an important part of the history of Milam County and for making
   1-19  this information available to others; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  73rd Legislature, hereby commend the Milam County Historical
   1-22  Museum for receiving the Texas Historical Commission's Distinguished
   1-23  Service Award; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
    2-2  Milam County Historical Museum as an expression of the admiration
    2-3  and appreciation of the Texas Senate.
