    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great
    1-3  pleasure in paying tribute to John Webb for his 36 years of
    1-4  exceptional service to the Arlington Independent School District;
    1-5  and
    1-6        WHEREAS, As a teacher, principal, and director of finance
    1-7  for the district, the highly regarded educator has devoted his
    1-8  adult life to the schoolchildren of Arlington; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Few individuals have given so selflessly of
   1-10  themselves to helping our youth as Mr. Webb has through his wise
   1-11  counsel and good judgment; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, His broad experience and versatility proved
   1-13  invaluable in his position as principal of Arlington High School
   1-14  for 15 years, and he carried out his duties with integrity and
   1-15  fairness while earning the admiration and respect of his colleagues;
   1-16  and
   1-17        WHEREAS, John Webb eventually became Executive Director of
   1-18  Finance for the Arlington Independent School District, a position
   1-19  he ably held until his retirement in 1988; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Through his superb accomplishments and abilities,
   1-21  the noted educator contributed magnificently to the progressive
   1-22  development of the educational system in the State of Texas; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, To express appreciation to John Webb for his many
    2-1  years of devoted service, the Arlington Independent School District
    2-2  will name and dedicate the John Webb Elementary School in his honor
    2-3  in the fall of 1993; now, therefore, be it
    2-4        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-5  73rd Legislature, hereby commend John Webb for his meritorious
    2-6  contribution to the schoolchildren of Texas; and, be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-8  him as an expression of the gratitude and high regard of the
    2-9  Texas Senate.
