    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased and
    1-3  proud to honor Andre Gerault who has been named the recipient of
    1-4  the Flower Mound 1993 Lifetime Service Award; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, In 1946, Mr. and Mrs. Gerault purchased a farm in
    1-6  the small town of Flower Mound; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, Since that time, Mr. and Mrs. Gerault have become
    1-8  involved with almost every aspect of life in the community where
    1-9  they live; Mr. Gerault was instrumental in bringing about the
   1-10  incorporation of Flower Mound, and he has served on the board of
   1-11  the Lewisville Independent School District; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, The Denton County man has faithfully served his
   1-13  city with unfailing devotion for more than 46 years; he has worked
   1-14  on the mayor's committee, the roads committee, and the water board;
   1-15  and
   1-16        WHEREAS, A man who has never missed an opportunity to help
   1-17  others, Mr. Gerault labored for many years to make the annual
   1-18  Easter egg hunts successful events; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Mr. Gerault is a member of
   1-20  the First Baptist Church where he is a deacon; he has almost never
   1-21  missed attending church services; he is proud to be a deacon, but
   1-22  notes that the definition of deacon is servant; he greatly enjoys
   1-23  serving others but prefers no recognition for his good deeds; and
    2-1        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Gerault raised four children, three
    2-2  daughters and a son; they have five grandchildren and two wonderful
    2-3  great-grandchildren; their family life has been rich and rewarding;
    2-4  and
    2-5        WHEREAS, Mr. Gerault's gracious manner and professional
    2-6  knowledge have earned him the respect and admiration of his
    2-7  colleagues; now, therefore, be it
    2-8        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-9  73rd Legislature, hereby congratulate Andre Gerault on winning the
   2-10  Flower Mound 1993 Lifetime Service Award and commend him on his many
   2-11  important accomplishments; and, be it further
   2-12        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   2-13  Mr. Gerault as an expression of the appreciation and esteem of the
   2-14  Texas Senate.
