    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Honoring outstanding citizens is one of the most
    1-3  pleasurable duties of a Texas legislator; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, It is a genuine privilege for the members of
    1-5  the Texas Senate to recognize Bonnie Kohnert who was named Citizen
    1-6  of the Year of Flower Mound, Texas; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, Known for her devotion to her community, Mrs. Kohnert
    1-8  has generously donated her time and talent to a myriad of civic and
    1-9  philanthropic organizations; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, A member of the Executive Board of Directors of
   1-11  the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce, she is an active member of
   1-12  the Flower Mound Rotary Club, Pacesetters Business Women's
   1-13  Association, and the Lewisville Education Foundation; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, An indefatigable worker on behalf of causes close
   1-15  to her heart, Mrs. Kohnert is indispensible to the success of the
   1-16  Denton County Friends of the Family, Beautify Flower Mound, and
   1-17  the United Way Sustaining Drive; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, Indisputably a leader in Flower Mound, Mrs. Kohnert
   1-19  has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards for her superb
   1-20  community service; Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of
   1-21  the Month twice, she received the Outstanding Service Award from
   1-22  the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce and has been cited by United Way,
   1-23  the Young Men's Christian Association, and Christian Community
    2-1  Action; and
    2-2        WHEREAS, A successful businesswoman, Mrs. Kohnert is the
    2-3  co-owner of K Double K Advertisors; and
    2-4        WHEREAS, Encouraging her in all her endeavors has been her
    2-5  husband, Jim; and
    2-6        WHEREAS, Few individuals are as deserving of legislative
    2-7  praise and recognition; now, therefore, be it
    2-8        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-9  73rd Legislature, hereby congratulate Bonnie Kohnert on being
   2-10  named Citizen of the Year; and, be it further
   2-11        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   2-12  her as an expression of highest regard and esteem from the
   2-13  Texas Senate.
