No. 548 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, Birthdays are occasions to be joyously celebrated, 1-3 and so it was for Mrs. Luna Denman of Palestine, Texas, on 1-4 March 12, 1993, when she was the guest of honor on her special day; 1-5 and 1-6 WHEREAS, This being her 93rd birthday, she has been 1-7 privileged to witness events most of us only read about in history 1-8 books; and 1-9 WHEREAS, The blessings of her long sojourn in this world 1-10 are evident as she recalls tales of years past; Mrs. Denman has 1-11 earned respect and friendship from all who know her; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Still a vital member of her community, she is 1-13 noted for her exemplary enthusiasm for living each day to the 1-14 fullest; and 1-15 WHEREAS, The talented and artistic individual enjoys 1-16 embroidering and piecing quilts; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Mrs. Denman celebrated her birthday with her 1-18 daughters, Allie Mae, Bobbie, and Margie, and her son, Kenneth, 1-19 who gathered to honor her in a manner best befitting the event; 1-20 now, therefore, be it 1-21 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-22 73rd Legislature, hereby declare Mrs. Luna Denman a treasured 1-23 citizen of her town and state, wishing her many more years of 2-1 health and happiness; and, be it further 2-2 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to her as 2-3 a token of esteem from the Texas Senate. 2-4 _____________________________________ 2-5 President of the Senate 2-6 I hereby certify that the 2-7 above Resolution was adopted by 2-8 the Senate on April 5, 1993. 2-9 _____________________________________ 2-10 Secretary of the Senate 2-11 _____________________________________ 2-12 Member, Texas Senate
